Forced break, that is. Yesterday I was out working on the oak trees that came down over a month ago. I was still brushing them out so I was using my 192T. Went to start it and felt extreme pain in my right shoulder when I pulled the starter rope. Shoulder not any better today so I went in to see a sports medicine doc. X-rays didn't show anything wrong so I am going in on Monday for an MRI on my right shoulder. Doesn't hurt if I am not moving it but if I try to reach for something it is not happy. Good thing I listened to Backwoods Savage and got a good 3+ years supply on hand. That oak should stay good for a while.:pain:

    Sorry to hear it.

I tore my rotator cuff due to a fall back in March. I hope the MRI shows something else.

That stinks Eric. Hope the MRI shows nothing major. Take it slow and keep us updated.

Kinda the wron end of the issue, but when I started kayaking in earnest (Fishers Island circumnav) I found some exercises to do with a P90x kit we had kicken around. Essentially pulling against a rubber band with the arms, in different directions, to stengthen muscles that support the rotator cuff.

    Iirc.

Erik, I hope this doesn't get serious, more than a little time off and rest. The benefits of being on the 3 year plan...resonates here too.

I did something to my r.c. at work I'd guess, not serious. But a week or two without wooding (well, maybe running the hydro for a little tomorrow) will be fine with me.

I feel your pain, I took a sudden unexpected drop of a spooked horse about a month ago, hit the ground when he was at a full run, landed directly on my right shoulder, fallowed by my face and then my left wrist at some point, couldn't lift my right arm for over a week. Had X-rays and MRI done, left wrist is fractured but thank fully didn't tare anything in my shoulder, just massive muscle trama.

Got my wrist casted, actually just got the cast off a few days ago and in a wrist brace right now, but the doc still wants me to do nothing with it as I can still shift the bone out of place, she wanted to recast, I wanted the brace, so she reluctantly went with the brace, but she said if I have to call her to say I did something to it she was going to be very disappointed.

Was off work for a week from it before I couldn't take it any more and said F it I can make it work and went back.

Hope you heal up fast, it sucks being out of commission!
