LOL!!! No worries. Bundles not my favorite part of it. I hate the assembly process.

I always worry about running out of wood!

If you ever stop worrying about running out of wood, your hoarding card could be in jeopardy of being revoked!!

We have enough built up now that we might try that. We usually burn the cull and chunk pieces to heat our house.

As hot as it is there, 2 or 3 pieces should be enough!!

Cant have that happen now can we!

I have a couple ads up for 1/4 cord of firepit wood...old inventory. Guys inquires last week asking if i delivered to him as he was not too close. I get his address and quote him $30 extra for delivery. (free within 5 miles) He was 18 miles one way IIRC. He counters at $20, i thought about it then refuse. Almost an hour round trip and 3500 sq ft house too.

Some of my nugget/short inventory. Full cord bin i started last month. Couple 4x8' pallets came in handy for the build. Better hardwood so far...mulberry, cherry, sugar maple, red oak. IMG_1444.JPG Full cord bin that will be ready this coming season. Mixed hardwood. IMG_1445.JPG IMG_1446.JPG Back side of one cord bin with primo hardwoods...black and honey locust, sugar maple. Filled Sept 2020. IMG_1447.JPG Have a mound of multi year to dry nuggets started. Honey locust and shagbark hickory. Have to figure where these will go. :picard: IMG_1448.JPG Set a row of pallets for three more half cord rows of mostly bundle quality wood. Time to get hoarding to fill it up. Woohoo! IMG_1449.JPG

This is only the front yard of storage. The back is another story!

If you want one, just get a modern gasifier and put it in a metal shed, feed it dry wood and nobody will ever suspect you have a OWB. My family switched to a Heatmaster G series at the home farm last year, from a Central Boiler previously...night and day difference...can't even tell if the HM is running or not...you could almost always tell when the CB was burning...often from 1/4 mile away!

Not really. Did 1 year, had folks from to far off calling. It's just word of mouth, or being tagged in a FB post when folks are looking for wood.
We have about 35-40 pretty regular customers now...

Premium nuggets! When I have nice pieces over 12" long I split small and bundle. I sell those to people with Solo stoves, pizza ovens, small fireplace inserts. I realize you don't have a roadside stand but it seems that there should be a market for those.

I would have made the same call. I charge $2.50 per loaded mile. That's $45 for 18 miles. I wouldn't even start the F350 diesel for $20.

Only the open front of bins is stacked with shorts maybe 10-14". Most of the rest is cookies and knot cut offs.

Seems like you should be able to find a home for those. Cookies are what I struggle with.

Nice stack! I just toss them into a junk IBC tote until I need more, then split if needed and stack.
