new stacking area, I'm thinking this can hold around five cord, maybe more. The stack is a mixture of Soft Maple, Sugar Maple, Yellow Birch with some Beech.

I'll be running back in tomorrow so I can bring out more Sugar Maple so I can finish this stack.

I'm thinking with all the split wood around the house and the rounds left to split we have an easy three cord, my best guess of what's in the woods is another three cord.

It will get late afternoon sun but the wind will pound that area big time. The better hardwood will get stacked first then the Cherry,

I might open that trail up this week or weekend, I'm not sure what will be down in that area......the ice storm put down some chit before that Cherry that is still blocking the trail.

Zap, what will your cord total be after you collect what's in the woods?

Just a guess, I'm thinking 25 cord at the most, not face cord. I could hit 28 if I didn't have a chit load of trail clearing to do.

So far this year we've had zilch for high winds, I'm thinking we'll get hit with some in the middle of September, more wood. We still have four or five big Cherry down along with some nice Maple, Sugar I hope, that will be saved for next spring.

What a worker bee! Beautiful land. For your sake, I hope you don't have high winds. You need some time to rest up.

I'll be back stacking tonight, the pollen had me resting in the recliner yesterday afternoon through the night.

I can deal with not getting any high winds, I'll be clearing two new trails, hopefully both are done before the end of September, once the ferns start to die-off I'll be starting the clearing.

Up above the Brook will need to be cleared so we can get through with the Rhino or sleds.

We also have another tree that is ready to go in the Brook so that must come down, I think it's a Yellow Birch.
