I'm too old for fireworks but I always read in the local rag about people getting injured with them every year, Seems as though it's always a mix of brown bottles and fireworks too. Stay safe this 4th and don't blow your digits off, it hurts...

I know several people that are missing tips of fingers, supposedly from various kinds of explosives...and none of them are nicknamed stumpy!
What's that?? Was somebody saying something? Meh, never mind. I love fireworks, but Holly is not a fan, and will go after the mortars and such. So.. no fireworks for me.
After 30 odd years of farming and not loosing any fingers, I'm always very careful not to. Far as hearing goes. If I don't put in my hearing aids, I have very selective hearing, especially when Amy calls me...lol.. One of the land owners I cut hay on shares for has his license to shoot off professional grade fireworks. Puts on quite a show every year. He's a closet pyro anyway. Just happens to be our veterinarian too. I much prefer watching versus being a participant.
