Yep, nice people, nice area. But VA and New England are very different and it is going to take some getting used to.

As to the accents, most all areas in the US do have some type of accent, with mine being very noticeable to non New Englanders. That is not really a problem but the culture and even the way things are done here, as well as things such as architecture are very different. I find my own house in VA to be unusual, just like all the other houses here

But they certainly do burn wood here and I am leaning more towards doing that after getting a year- long contract from the propane co. for $160 / month for 12 months. That is a very high price IMO for heat only, with the A/C and hot water being electric, and the heating season being shorter here.

65 strong breeze and heading into rain/T-storms today.

 

We had 57 this morning with a high of 70 back here in the pines today.

 

A very cool 56 degree's here this morning. I'm loving it! Windows open AC off yesterday and today. Calling for 94 by end of week so it won't last.

 

Dropped down to 42 about 1 1/2 hours ago.

Heading for 75.

Never got any significant rain yesterday, But, not so many miles away had violent T-storms. Wind kicked up for awhile but by pre-sunset it died down to nothing and we had a great sunset.

 

We had 52.9 this morning with the temp hitting 75 today.

 

While I don't want to be out working in it, Id love a gullywhomper of a storm to pass through here, perhaps put power out for a spell.
Havent had a good storm here in a while.

 

I was out in the woods working on one of the big oaks that came down recently. It was hot in the sun but felt good in the shade of the woods, especially when a nice breeze came up. Temps got up to 88 today.

 

58 this morning, headed for 90 later.

 

103 and 25-35mph winds yesterday. Only burning for me was my lawn, all the baby trees I planted earlier this spring and myself!!!
today is supposed to be around 88…. That will be better!!

Off and on rain and sun throughout the day. Like Nature can't decide!

 

Currently 88f after a high of 96 the last two days. Looks like 50-86 until the heat comes back on Monday.

 

And continue today? It's sweltering here. 88f with 55% relative humidity.

 

46 now with (get this.....) 93% humidity! With the humidity that high, it sure doesn't feel like its in the 40's.

Heading for a sunny low 70's today.
