Stumpshot 268 cutting dead maples and a hickory off my brother's house IMG_20220628_110206464_HDR.jpg IMG_20220628_100534428_HDR.jpg
    I don't drop tree's around house's anymore too pricey
So I had my tree climber friend winch and pull them off the house
    And drop them
I'm blocking them for a firewooder.

Got some trigger time with the XS362c. I bought some Oregon chains from frawleys saw. The chisel chain stretches more than the stihl chain but it holds a good edge and the price is almost half.

Oregon has always stretched a bit. I just milled for the first time with a new loop of 42” EXL. After one cut I had to re-tension, it was falling out of the bar! Then after one more tighten, it settled in for the rest of the session. Cut great and stayed sharp longer than the loops of LGX I used.

I checked the box it came in and it is EXL.

The wood i was cutting was dirty and I was expecting the chain to dull quickly but it did great! I bought a half dozen of the chisel and the semi chisel earlier this year.

Thanks Brad! When are going to send off one of your saws to get ported?

Good question! Ive thought of downsizing and getting a couple ported, but then id be cured of my CAD and what fun would that be? I was offered to use a ported Husky last year, but refused. Id rather not get addicted to it. If i was cutting for many hours daily and had limited time id do it, but i seldom go through a couple tanks of gas in a cutting session.

Ive come close to buying a 362 a couple times. Been some good deals on FBM.

I have many stock saws that set I always reach for a ported saw
Because I want to be done and I want to be done now.
More fuel consumption with a ported saw is not very noticeable to me
But the added exhaust noise is
So I use more conservative muffler mods now.

Go on and do it Brad. Kevin just ported my 261 husky and after little use( It's a100° hear) it's becoming my go to saw. Stock it's 61ccs, I have a 68cc redmax(husky) and a 461 sthil but would rather run the ported saw. It's like using a laser.

What if we told you it (a ported saw) would make you a more efficient hoarder? :D

50cc it's running 16" .325 with an 8 pin in the pic. But I'll probably switch it to 14" 3/8lp.
