I rented a splitter Friday and finished splitting the last of my cut wood. Almost finished stacking for the winter. This is all really hard on my 50 year old back.
Isn't it fun being in the oldtimers club....when I wake up and feel something hurting I know the good Lord left me here another day.
They are more than likely all city park maintained trees or yardbirds dropped off at one of three city brush sites. It's slim pickins for anything of size other than elm and the occasional honey locust, with a dash of everything covered by the term "chit" tossed in.
You made better progress than I did. Stihl need to trim up a quick grab of HL and a few small oak/cherry limbs from friday. Spending to much time on FHC
So flat there. So different than here. All hills every where. I'm way up on the back side of one. Plus it is trees everywhere unless you cut them down and maintain the land. Let it go a few years and trees start to grow back in. The lot across from me has been cleared twice and is now grown back over with tall trees, not mature but really tall.
C/S/S won't get any easier for me, I'm just finishing up with two weeks off and everything gets squeezed into right now.
Retirement will give you more time . Time to put off work & go fishing then still have time to get the work done.
Funny thing is I'm eligible for full retirement now at (50). I just can't let loose of my current salary. I guess the only reason I'm staying is to save more $$ in my matching retirement fund, though money isn't that important to me, the shop and chainsaws are.
Ha ha. Been known to stretch the truth a bit , maybe. Lie ? , Fishermen "never" lie . Kinda the truth , depends how you read it/ It is all gets (better could mean harder) really harder on older backs LOL
