Esp. when you know you have that again with the return trip. Big reason I don't go anywhere now. I'm always thinking about being back home as soon as I leave my town.

hard at work. I like can runs. Those pay money. Although the dump is nicer than the can depot...

Buoys, I would think to mark seafood traps and such, but those are awful close to the dock if that's what they're for.

Just inside for dinner here...going back outside after...it was a rare day here in Ohio, high temp of 90*+ and humidity under 25%...that almost never happens! When its hot out we seem to be over 50% most of the time, often 60% +...yuck!

Hit the splitter early in an attempt to get everything done today. Success!

While I was splitting the first load (before it got too bloody hot) Fred the fox came trotting up to the splitter and me. The noise and movement didn't bother him. I shut it off and talked to him as he ducked into the woods. I couldn't see him any longer but just kept talking and told him to come along and follow me back to the house for a treat. After walking 100 feet or so, I turned around to see if he was anywhere around and there he was...about 7 feet behind me! I walked up the steps to the house and asked 99 to "grab the bag of salami slices, please" and she replied "Is Fred here?"

Turned around again and he had started up the steps behind me!!!

Well, he got his snacks and then I went back to work and he just sat and watched me until he became bored with the whole process.

At any rate, the splitting and stacking is all done!!! I was enjoying a tall glass of water when 99 brings me the phone and says someone needs a small playhouse taken apart........with a chain saw! The roof had already been removed but I just buzzed it up into manageable pieces to make the loading easier for the other guy coming tomorrow to haul it away. Of course, as careful as I was, I did hit the obligatory nail or two

That is pretty neat having a friend like Fred! I have a few deer that get quite close but not as close as Fred. yesterday morning I had quite a load of trash and recycling to take to the road (120 yards to the road). One of my deer was standing just off the driveway and watched me pass. I could still see her when I got off to remove the containers and she just watched me. Stood still as I drove past again and then watched as I went back into the house. She then crossed the driveway and started eating something and was there for a long time. I love it.
