True. We were actually oil independent for the first time in history just a short while ago.

With a resounding YES! I am afraid for this county! Many times over, and, this will be just the beginning of the end. Use your imagination, on what use oil, gas, and other biproducts produce. To me, its almost funny, that a certain amount of people ''think'' they run this nation!! lol. they don't actually have a clue who REALLY IS IN CONTROL! But, they will find out, sooner than later. And, i'm not gloating about it, i actually feel sorry for them.

Definitely the ones that have to choose between food and fuel.
There WILL be a lot of people (esp. elderly) that freeze to death this winter.

My sister just filled her heating oil tanks, $5.80 a gallon and it was $2000 total! :faint:

Not to “mock you”. But honestly, WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT??? We no longer live in a “free world”. I feel we are about to face some serious choices, and we’re just starting to see the real reality we’re about too face. Not a very pretty picture! What happened to “ the 500,000 charging stations” to power these “electric cars” they can’t produce, we cannot afford, not to mention, cannot get “the chips” for, to even make them move???? “ come on man”? This problem, stopped being even remotely funny , a long, long , time ago!!! I really feel sorry for the future generations!! Inflation hits 40 yr HIGH, “Let’s go Brandon” ! No doubt about it, we are accelerating into a downward spiral I’m not sure we can recover from. Reality check on isle 5!

First, start by praying...then voting, then peaceful protesting...

What?!?! Are you proposing we obtain oil from our own resources. Creating high paying jobs! And collecting numerous taxes all while under the strictest of EPA regulations. Thats:hair:

I hope that's not true and won't happen. But I agree on the choices for this winter. Like I mentioned to another member, people will be forced to choose between "heat or eat" this winter.

Me too, but it happens every year. Cold snap, winter storms, even during heat waves. Sad, but true.

I'm waiting on the oil truck right now. Set up the order a few days ago and I have 2 different tanks to distribute the $1500 into (@ $5.26/g) so I want to direct him. I was "biting the bullet" at these prices with a optimist thought in the back of my mind that it'll come down in the summer just like it has for, well as long as I've been buying oil.
This morning it dawned on me that it's not and my view of normal is no longer. I'm considering filing every tank I have now, he!! it could be worth 1 or 2 more dollars a gallon by the time I actually need it.
This is intentional and a non political discussion is impossible. Not when a presidential candidte declared that they'd end fossil fuel production.

2 years ago I learned that "peaceful protests" can actually get quite spicy...well, depending on which side of the isle you vote on. But some people can't even make a statement at a school board meeting without getting drug out in handcuffs!
    Can't agree strongly enough.

I said this earlier in another thread. I think the goal is to bring the working poor to their knees so they will have to depend on the government for survival. Once this is accomplished they will go after the next level on the socio/economic ladder.

Yup, that pretty much boils it down right there...and the next step involves NWO.

The next few years will be interesting. We will either reject the current nonsense and become a great country again or we will be lost forever!

Numbers don't lie and are not political.

The date and price is right there, just numbers - with no political agenda, "just the facts Mam".
