Been watching the 18 month old the past few days and she falls on her bottom like its nothing. I fall like that and its a new hip!
Skin flaking all over the place. Looking forward to a shower without needing to cover the arm with a plastic bag to keep a cast dry.
Man.....yall older folks take care of yourselves... Im.coming up right behind ya age wise....hearing the warning here for myself Sca
The wrist is getting better, as is the shoulder after a few weeks of therapy. I spent a couple hours of doing some split stacking yesterday. My left arm did most of the work, with my right arm helping where appropriate. I'm not wearing a brace. The therapist said not to. The wrist is better off being able to move and flex as strength and range of motion returns. I'm able to lather and dry my hair using 2 hands. I didn't even think of using 2 hands until a couple of days ago. I hope to actually use a chainsaw this week, if I can grip the trigger handle with my right hand. Most of the weight being carried by the left hand. If not, then another week before trying again. Time will tell. I'm still careful to avoid doing anything stupid. *edit.... I'm also able to work other things with my right arm. Things like recliner handle, car shift, seat belt. Small things, but I'll take them.
That is what it will be for me also when I start splitting and stacking. Nee to get back in shape. Glad to hear you are doing so well.
Today, I was discharged from wrist therapy. All measurements are to the good. I'll continue to perform strength and range-of-motion exercises. It feels fine with occasional twinge if I twist it too far. I found it easier to pull start a chainsaw this past Saturday, compared to 2 weeks ago. What else is there, after all. The shoulder is still a concern. I saw improvements after 4 PT sessions, but not so much with another 6. A therapy report was sent to the orthopedic guy, this past Friday. I followed up with a call today. Waiting for a call back. I expect an MRI will be in my future. It will show what part of the rotator is torn, where is it torn, and the degree of the tear. Then, what are the options moving forward. I'm OK with doing stuff below shoulder level. Above the shoulder isn't working so well. We'll see.
Is that lifting things above shoulder or the bump on top of your neck that isn’t working well? Or both?
