Ford and Mazda just put their own badges on basically the same Ranger. I believe they did have Mazda engines. One of the better collaborations for car manufacturers.

Got to go to the dentist to check out an inflamed gum where the tooth might be the culprit. My wife had to bring one of our dogs to the emergency vet cause her eye collapsed in last night. We had been treating her for an eye ulcer for over a week and something happened to the eye last night. Our vet went on vacation this week and the covering vet was booked until next week. They found us a good vet to go to as the emergency hospital ones in our area are rated the absolute worst. This doctor had been with our vet before opening his own practice. Great that he squeezed us in.

Our gas grill’s bottom fell out the other day after four years. Went yesterday to look at a new one. You could spend a fortune on a grill nowadays. Wound up getting a Weber for $600. Almost spent $1400 on one, then I came to my senses. At least the Weber has a 10 year warranty. Glad I don’t have to buy heating oil anytime soon.

Thanks. My issue was something trapped between the crown and gum and the doctor took out what she said resembled a fish bone. Almost immediately the swelling went down and by tomorrow I should be as good as new. Our dog is not so lucky. She will have to have her eye removed. She doesn’t seem to be in pain, but the doctor gave us pain meds and antibiotic drops and pills. Our doctor’s office wants us to get the eye removed before our regular vet gets back and I’m waiting for a call back from the vet we saw today.

It is funny that you posted this picture and this afternoon I had an older version Ranger park beside me at the grocery store. I don't think it was as old as the one you posted.

Glad your gum issue was an easy fix NortheastAl .

Sorry for the pup's eye. The good news is that they seem to take these types of things in stride and I'll bet in a couple of weeks he will be acting as if it has always been that way. Unlike most humans - who to be fair, have a much more complicated world to navigate because of the nature of our lives.

Nice little old trucks. But I know by the time they were discontinued in 2011, it was just as well to get a full size truck because they were no easier on fuel. The new ones they just started making again must be better I'm sure. Not bad looking trucks either really.

Dad had an 87 years ago, calico express we called it. Was about 5 or 6 different colors.

You might want to clean up the start up menu. Type "open msconfig" Then start looking around. go to the start up and see what is running I am running windows 11 and that sends me to the task manager to review the start up. In some of the prior window, in the msconfig and then the startup you could turn off anything you wanted. Either day, look to wean way down what is in the start up menu. Security is about the only thing you might really need. you can open any of the others as needed. Often, programs think they are proprietary, but they are not. However, they use up too much Ram and slow the computer down to a crawl. Removing them (turn off from start up) doesn't do anything to hurt them. You just open them when you need to. Go to YouTube and get more about startup menu and msconfig. Some computers run like new. I back everything up to the cloud before I attempt messing with the system. You can always do a restore one you have marked a restore point to go back to.

Milled two locust trees into lumber and replaced the door on my boiler this morning. Going to fire up the pit this evening and cook some pork chops.

Someone (on a corner of the Internet probably better off avoided anyway) told me my homemade sawmill is a death trap.

Just had to go to home Depot for a piece of drip cap. Installed a window today, and forgot I have no drip cap to put the siding back together tomorrow. Long hours, one of the things that make bug box store an occasional necessary evil. Anyway I noticed a 1x3x6 maple. Over 30 bucks :jaw:

    1) my rig is safer than a tablesaw, and
    2) at those prices, I think risking my life might be worth it anyway

Thank you. She is actually blind already from diabetes. She navigates the house and yard very well. She goes up and down stairs too. She is pretty amazing. We were treating her for glaucoma and she somehow injured her eye and then she was put on eye drop antibiotics and eye drop serum made from another dog”s blood run through a centrifuge. All of a sudden the fluid in her eye leaked out. The vet we took her to says sometimes the lens pushes through. Her eye will be removed on Thursday and hopefully she will be fine. She is one tough little Min Pin and never complains. She even has a cancerous tumor on her back leg that came back after surgery and it is growing again. They would have to amputate if it gets much worse. She acts as if it’s nothing. Like I said, she is tough.

Now how did I get sick? Only people I saw (besides family which we all had a cold over a week ago) was the ACE hardware guys that delivered my pellets, just a couple minutes twice with them and we didn't even shake hands. Grrr not ready for a summer cold or flu, kiddo just finished school on Friday.

Little site prep today. Finished moving this coming winters wood into the basement so I could make room for more splits.

My staging area is still stocked very well. I need room for 4-5 more trees.

Feel better. Summer colds are not fun. I don’t know where I pick them up too.
