I understand that other areas property taxes are lower. Here that is not the case.. My concern is still using valuable farm land to produce energy. I can survive with using less electricity, people need xxx calories to live. Ukraine is bread basket of Europe, not planting crops this year. So food prices are going up especially considering shortages and …. fuel costs.

which is why this thread was started :handshake:

I agree . My area is some of the best farmland around but the all mighty dollar wins . It’s not my land and I feel when it’s all said and done the landowners are making some dang good money but when it’s time to clean up this mess us taxpayers are gonna have to pay the bill .

I agree but that could be something to negotiate into the contract. It is being done but not yet on a large scale.

Yes up 300% from last year

Disagree, taxpayers won’t be able to pay it all. Therefore, print more $ and inflation will go higher.

USDA raises food inflation forecast for fourth month in a row
I have heard a dozen eggs they are forecasting to be $12. You can’t make this chit up. USDA is fairly non political so I think you can believe what they say.

Bird flu is bad right now . Mother is a volunteer at a wildlife rehab facility and they are seeing many bald eagles among other species dying from the bird flu .

I fuel when my tank drops to 7/8 full. Much less painfull, although I'm finding it hard to actually get anything done between the frequent gas station stops. (Jk)

I fueled at 7/8 earlier this week...last station in town at $4.50/gall...the rest already went to $4.80, figured it'll be the last time I buy at that price for a while!
It was still 30 some $!

My nephew’s family has a large dairy farm and he said grease is getting hard to find. Our whole country will come to a screeching halt. (Literally) if we don’t have grease. I’ve heard that hydraulic fluid is scarce also.

I bought a couple cases last summer, along with a few buckets 15-40 and hydrulic oil. My oil buddy gave me the heads up.

Read the post man. Specifically stated that the $$ you pay upfront is what gets you the product. That's the bottom line!

Let me explain it even more. Try going into Menards, with their infamous 11% off sale, and pay the sale price to carry the product out the door. Their sale price is in the form of a rebate (not to be confused with a tax credit of which we are speaking here). You wouldn't get close to going out the door. Paying the upfront $$ is what I am talking about. Kinda hard to get a EV or solar residential by telling the dealership/contractor "I'll take the tax credit now" :handshake:

Wishlist it all boils down to this. I get the whole solar and electric vehicle thing. Got that? I get it! If it works well for you and DaveGunter thats great! But as of yet, it isn't feasible and more importantly even attainable for the majority of Americans. period. If it was maybe, just maybe the powers that be would lead by example.....(yeah, right!)

"Transitioning" America into a forced compliance with inflated prices on everything isn't going to help out one bit either. :handshake:

You have a good day.

Yup, there's the difference. I will say "I paid $147 for an item (with the tax included)....and after I get the rebate it'll end up being $125!"

As far as the second paragraph of your reply, all I can wonder is wow! :jaw:

Your posts sure have changed into a confrontational theme over the last few months (that I have noticed anyway.....maybe longer?)

By adding the second paragraph, I agree that "everyone is probably tired of hearing about it".

There will always be differences of opinions. Mine is the upfront cost, your's is the eventual cost. Both are correct and neither are wrong. :handshake:

Now, get back to work and think about something else! :rofl: :rofl:

Geeze, do ya think they're gonna start making them wear masks? :rofl: :rofl:

Try to see the humor in this post, nothing confrontational....just humor.

Incidents of bird flu are on the increase here also.
