Looking at the weather, I’ll probably take a pretty good poke at the pile Sunday. If any one is interested in getting out for a few hours late morning into the afternoon, PM me.

Antlers and trees, both can suffer from ground shrink!

Feel free. Be interested to know what your ground shrinkage factor is.

You might get 1.25 cords from that pile. Looks like they chipped a lot of good wood...:(...

Isn't that an arborist slogan; if it fits, it chips!

M2theB - are you still cutting tomorrow?

I still plan to be there, with my 1.5 arms. I cut OK a few days ago.

Got a huge bite out of it this morning thanks to MikeInMa

Everything cut except that big ugly. After I touched ground with the 394XP on some other stuff, the chain needed some help. Maybe later today.

I can announce, I think, that brenndatomu is the price is right winner! Come on Down!
I don’t know what the total final price was as that was between the homeowner and contractor. I was just a broker for them.
But the price I got for them was quoted as between $1200 and $1400.

    cordage number is yet determined

    I was running a husky 351 of M2theB's. 16in.
I was attacking the thinner logs, he the thicker. We met somewhere in the middle. After cutting as much oak as I do, the scent of fresh cut maple was a nice change.

We started clearing the deck of a bunch of rounds cut before today. That allowed having space to shift logs around.

    Here's the trunk.

The "big ugly" is a piece little smaller than the trunk, but with a few large crotches.

I was satisfied with my effort with 1.5 arms. My stamina is coming back. Today was a good step towards that. Always happy to help a member, even with one wing at 50%
