Somewhere here I remember reading about long haul truckers having the same type of issue...only it was the fact that the pump only goes up to $999.99 before kicking off...and that only gets a long haul rig to about half full at todays diesel prices! :faint:
And they only get about 6-7 MPG when fully loaded!

Been pitting off filling my wife's suburban. I bet the pump will have to be reset at least once.

Why it resides in the garage 95% of the time. At least hers isn't a big block. It's the FI 6.2 with the cylinder cutout that I disabled. Terrible design.

One good thing about driving a 'burb is occupant safety. Hard to fault a full perimeter frame and the mass if you get in an accident, just like my 1 ton pickup truck. You could probably drive right over one of the econobox small cars with minimal damage to you or the vehicle.

I own and drive a 40 mpg 'econo box' and I'm always acutely aware of it's limitations, especially in an accident. Why I rarely ride my motorcycles as well. Way too many 'idiot' drivers on the road, not paying attention to their driving or texting or reading while motoring and being on a bike, you are always on the loosing end.

I feel your pain. A couple months back I started carpooling to work again, with 2 other guys that live in the same town as me. With the 60 mile round trip to and from work every day, it makes a huge difference only driving every 3 weeks. I just got my motorcycle out of storage and fired up this afternoon, so I’ll start riding that more and more, whenever it makes sense to do so.

Funny thing I’ve had mine shut off at $74 , $75 , and $100 before full . I assume the gas stations set those limits ?

I thought it had something to do with the limits set by credit card companies for fuel stations?

Yes, it's the gas station that sets the limits and needs to be with in corporate limits.

Why would a gas station limit how much it sells to a consumer? Unless they are self-imposing rationing???
