My dad was thrilled that he scored this super 1130G auto at an auction yesterday. It's got great compression and fired on spray but the fuel line is toast along with the inside of the tank. I gave it a good cleaning and took the tank apart to let the gunk soak for a few days. Some of you may already know from my previous posts but my grandfather was a homelite/mall dealer back in the day. So my dad has a slight problem when he sees one we don't have at a sale haha. I swear every few weeks he's leaving a new saw in the shop for me to tear down  . I'll post an update once I get her fired up. Last picture is the sign from my grandfathers shop.

Very Cool there Smokinpiney. Some of those old Homelites are pretty awesome saws.
How can you go wrong with 100cc of red muscle.

They weren't fast cutting saws by any means but they have some serious torque! Something this big ya just lay it on the log and let er eat :saw:

My dad doesn't know I got it back together and running so I'm gonna surprise him tomorrow for fathers day.

That one sign above says Fred Meyers...I had a teacher by that name back in 7th/8th grade, think he's long gone now.

Surprised dad with the saw today and he was very excited. Three generations of Myers holding a saw my grandfather could have possibly sold himself.

I would have offered you mine but I sold it last year. I miss hearing it but I don't have any work for it around here!

Ah that would've been great. Yea they definitely have a sound of their own. We don't use the old saws much these days but every once in a while it's fun to bring them out and knock the dust off. Dad's got a 40" oak trunk standing at his place that we're going to have some fun with the 1130. I'll fell it with my 394 then let him buck it with the homie.
