Come up just north of Hammonton and there are plenty of hickory trees. I would imagine there are some south of there as well but can't say for sure.

I was (once told) our soil is to sandy and is not very supportive of Hickories! Now, I don't know much about soils but our local tree guys have told me this. I'm all the way down here in CM county and a lot of our neighborhoods are all (Back fill) communities.

It might be the ph of the soil or something else. Where we got our first big score of hickory came from this area... Screenshot_20220513-074935.png Screenshot_20220513-075035.png
Did 2 jobs there, 10 trailer loads of mostly hickory. Wish you were closer, we could hook you up with some pecan too. Great smoker wood also.

I am not sure! I'm real good now with what I have and appreciate the offer!:) You just don't see many Hickories in this neck of the woods, go farther north, 50 miles they are.

Hickory is a delicate wood to grow.

They are adverse to the summertime screaming season there.
