It's official, I'm calling it now. No more fires until the fall. :) It was 43 at 4:30 this morning, and has since warmed up to 50. It'll be well into the 60s later, and high 70s in a couple days. FINALLY! Yesterday I started the hardening off process for my garden plants. I put them back out on the deck first thing this morning, where they'll get morning sun and afternoon shade. A couple more days of this and they'll be ready to put in the ground for the growing season. Great time of year. Cool nights, warm days. No humidity. Can't ask for much more

Didn't get the rain we were forecasted to. Dang, I seeded some lawn yesterday (bare spots) and was counting on it.

    53 now.

Give you an idea of how much rain we got this past weekend. This is across the parking lot at work.

2" of snow fell this morning.
    Not really my favorite thing.
    Temp around 36°F
Fresh , warm snow is much wetter than rain when it comes to working outdoors. Might alter my plans for what I do today.
Fire killed white and black spruce in the stove.

No fire overnight with a temp of 36.4 this morning, no fire this morning while having coffee but we'll have one tonight unless someone falls asleep in the recliner again.

The house is 70 from the sun with the doors opened to the porch, feels great.

The last I checked it was still 60 out, no fire needed so we'll call it a year on burning firewood.

We hit 62 degrees at the casa today! Feels like summer!

The mornings are typically in the high 20’s and low 30’s. But the days have been warming up nicely. We had some snow flurries yesterday. The last of the hard packed snow on my property melted today. We will probably get another spring snow storm or two. But I think the hard winter storms are done for the season.

Mostly just been burning pellets lately.

    +30°F ambient temperature here.
    Winds calm.
    Mostly overcast
Sun has been set for an hour but it's not full dark yet. Here at my place anyway.
Just got the fire kicked up from this morning's fill. 1 nice fk black spruce crook , 20" long x 5" diameter has been going for 15 hours. I put some wood around it and opened the draft. Off it went. I'll cork it off soon and go to bed.
The sun came out this afternoon and melted the fresh snow. That was nice ! Still lots of snow. Trees haven't budded out yet.
