    Sitting at my desk this morning I saw this guy fall out the corner of my eye. “Cool” I thought. You don’t get to see that every day and I’ve been waiting for this one since the ice storm in 2008

    since it’s 47 today and wind chill closer to 40, I thought Happy Mother’s Day to us!

    So now I sit by the fire waiting for the UPS to deliver a new circulating pump for the dishwasher. Me and the dishwasher that is.

    Raining, cold and miserable the past two days. Thinking about having a small fire to take the chill out. Might wait though until tonight.

    No way I’m turning the furnace on with heating oil at $6.50 a gallon. :hair:

    Within 8 months, gone from having all 4 grandparents still alive (which, not that many people in their 20s can say) to only one left. Mom's mom passed away early this morning.

    given the quality of life she had, I can't help but just be grateful she's out of her misery.

    An unusual visitor in Middle Cove today, a walrus. Hope s/he is ok, strange for them to be by themselves and this far south.

    We’re on the edge of the storm getting on and off periods of rain now. South of us they are getting the heavier rain. Wish I could send you some. We did light the fire to help get the chill out.
