I thought I had a three year supply before last winter, but being home all day, I went through more like 2/3 of my supply. Now my yard is a mess but I am stocking back up. On the plus side, I have mostly white oak and locust ready for next year; so hopefully I won’t burn through it too quick.
I know the feeling, I really need to get after it this year to get built back up. I wish I had some of your oak sitting in my reserves.
It rained yesterday when I was on lunch break. It’ll have some time to dry out yet before next fall. It is hard to tell from the picture, but I have two rows up against the fence, which I know is not ideal. In the past I put oak in the back since it takes so long to dry I figured not as important to have the air exposure. Since the oak is on deck, I moved it to the front. But I’m getting tired of shifting stacks all the time, so I put the locust in back. I figure locust is very unlikely to go soft on me in the back row. And I’ll start filling my covered racks from the front row, so it should be exposed fairly quickly.

Looks like your wood area could use a LOT more SUN. Those crap bushes growing in from the neighbors don't help either. (Hint Garlon could be your best friend)
I’ve been meaning to whack those bushes. I had to look up Garlon.. I probably wouldn’t go the chemical route. They probably would let me trim them up on their side if I asked.
The problem with invasive brush it cutting it back invigorates it to grow even more. Are they actually ornamental bushes or volunteer invasive brush? If you cut it off to eradicate, treat with Tordon. Just bought more yesterday. I use it a lot and a quart lasts 2-3 years.
