I should have about 7 hours of windshield time tomorrow hauling grain & an hour of loading time. So these will be tomorrow’s grab bag. 2nd in the line up is an Oliva 2nd not much humidor time but it may not get smoked.

The RP should be a decent smoke and the Alec I'll be interested in your opinion. I've became kinda of found of that line here lately. As far as lighters.... Its hit and miss. Use to go for the Xikar's, cause of the lifetime warranty. And they were local here. But they changed a bit and its more of a limited lifetime deal. Lately i've been using the Zippo lighters with the torch innards ....
5 Vegas is a decent line up. I've had a few of them and usually keep a few on hand. Never heard of them. Looked like a good one though.
I found the Connecticut to be a good mild cigar. The maduros that I had were not quite on the same level and haven't reordered them. Probably didn't give them enough time. I think I have one connie left....it's their #3......quite large. I'm looking forward to your opinion of the MLM. Drive safe.
I have some Mark Twain Novellas but haven’t had one yet. The MLM’s are supposed to be full bodied so it will most likely be an after dinner smoke.
Maybe I missed this, but it looks like a fun project. Not sure where I’d get Spanish cedar though? Wonder what other wood you could use?
You can but 1/8” & 1/4” slabs/sheets in various lengths/widths on that company named after a river & fleabay. I have been kicking around the idea of using Ref Cedar or Cherry for some trays in cooler.
Cigar #1 was the Rocky Patel Decade. It was mid range, creamy with a bit of pepper, I didn’t really get any of the subtle flavors; maybe I just have a bland palate. 2nd was the Alec Bradley Magic Toast It burned wonky for most of the cigar, I touched it up 2-3 times. It didn’t really have much kick, it was maybe a touch more flavorful than theRP. I caught a brief hint of chocolate occasionally.
On another note my co-pilot sleeps the sleep of death until he smells some grub. Bacon,Egg & Cheese on toast. He has forgone the co-pilots seat for more comfortable confines.
An addendum to this stogie: I put it down to with the burn just above the band point to do some cleanup work then relit it for the drive down. It’s last part down to about 3/4” had a slightly sweet creamy almost cashew taste to it. Very pleasant to my palate, stayed with me for about 15 minutes after tossing the nub out the window.
yooperdave I got about 1/2 way they the MLM, before I let it go out. Not that it terrible, I just had other stuff to do that I couldn’t smoke a stogie doing. It seemed similar to that Serie “O” that I had so far. I will tackle it tomorrow.
Had another red eye this late afternoon while working on the driveway again. I received these last week and was hesitant for not letting them rest at all. No problem, it was good. The other one that had aged in my coolidor for years was better though.... JimBear I sure do like the looks of that alec bradley's wrapper! I bet with some proper time in the coolidor, it'll really be good!
