1AEA35D1-A509-42F0-B555-ACD791E0AD0B.jpeg Working up some windfall from a large sugar maple this morning when I had the feeling I was being watched. Seems like he’s living in the tree because I left for 2 hours and he was still there when I got back. This tree could definitely fit a bear sized hole. I will get a better look next time I’m down there.

It’s not too often you find a bear perched high in an old wolf tree

I don't care what you say ; that is a great picture for a Husky advertisement.
Saw in the foreground and a bear looking over the saw , awesome.
Also a very good looking bear.

This is the family property, so I grew up messing around in these woods. For the past month, I’ve been felling, bucking and improving access for once the ground dries out enough to drive on. Looks like Friday the trucking will begin in earnest and I’ll be sure to check on our friend when I go to load up this maple.

To be honest, he didn’t seem bothered at all. Just lounged up there looking around and waiting for me to leave.

Hey, Pottstown! Home of the legendary woodsmans pal. I’m sure the bears out your way like to climb too, it’s just very easy to walk by without seeing them. I once saw 9D2CB097-B72C-47EA-9353-5C61E2D56B78.jpeg three cubs twice as high wrestling until mom came up to grab em. Found the pic, amazingly.

Fantastic. Can't say I've ever seen a bear while cutting or logging.

Looks like he was just hanging out. Although if i ran into a bear while cutting, i think id beat feet. He had to grin and bear it while you were cutting! :picard:
