Instead of buying another saw, send the 400 or 462 to get some xtra sausage. Would be cheaper, I know you like saving $$. Or the 261... You won't be disappointed.
I checked his inventory and no 241's. I could be wrong but i dont think Stihl sells them in North America
Is that the same as a red lever saw? Ive thought of one that size but seldom cut wood that big. Ive seen plenty of them for sale...066/MS660/MS661 79cc /500i the largest ive ever run.
My belated Birthday gift to myself… and justifying it to myself with more firewood selling than I have ever done before. Found this great guy on FB Marketplace selling his 462C and met him Friday, bought the power head only from him and bought the 28” light bar and chain from my Steal dealer Saturday… haven’t run it yet, crazy busy this weekend. I did manage to cut, split and stack a face cord of red oak Saturday with the 400..
WOW!!! Looks unused to me! Congrats on the new saw! Havent really hit any big wood with mine. Only run with 20" bar.
Never has had fuel or oil in it yet... He bought two, one for him and one for his brother and his brother just found a 500i so he sold this one to me...has a Feb 2022 date on it. $1050 power head only... Turned the oiler all the way up, put on the 28" light bar... likely order a bark box and air filter. Can't wait to try it out in some wood... and I have a bunch of wood to cut...

since your climbing the CC ladder...67 then 72, will the 500 be your next saw? Have you sold the 044?
Thanks Jeff, The Westcoast air filter comes from Red Beard.. and that’s what I’ll likely get…I’m familiar with straight shots and go back and forth as to which one I like best…. The guy I bought the saw from is a logger and he swears the bark box and straight shot make a noticeable difference… No more ladder climbing for me! LOL.. I’ve used two saws my whole life to cut wood. An .028 for 20 years and a 361 for the last 15 years or so…these two new ones will last me for a long long time…. Keeping the .044 for now… since I can’t decide. I’ll never find another like that one…
028 was my first Stihl in 1985...an 028 Super given to me new by my late uncle. Own a 361 that looked like your 044 when i got it a couple years ago. Enjoy your new saws and cut safe. Wanna see lots of pics!
