Parents wanted this decrepit willow taken down so I seized the opportunity since my saw stuff was already in the truck. I told dad to dump it in the woods, not worth messing with. SCarr 394 made very quick work of it. Chain was throwing nice ribbons. Roscoe rode along. First ride in the truck. He did great.
You can actually work Willow to a usable size with equipment also. It's called a chipper. I despise that stuff, your description of worthless is very generous. Nice work getting it done! Roscoe is a great looking sidekick too.
Good call. willow is only good for exercising a chainsaw or a chipper. The last willow I cut, was with my ms170. It was a 10" or so branch that fell on my buddy's lawn. We drug it right to the burn pile.
I used to own a general Lee, reasonably sure it was one used as a stunt double, had the correct color interior. And had had lots of body repairs and multiple layers of paint. Never did get it fixed up proper…. Wish I still owned it…. But, oh well, chainsaws are way cheaper to own and play with!
By the time it dries out it burns like old pizza boxes. Heavy as all get out when green, massive water retention in that stuff.
You need to get a prosthetic thumb and get back to work buddy. Too much time on the web is not good for you.
I need a prosthetic head too!!! Yeah too much time and i might buy another chain saw or find a wood score (that im helpless to do anything about right now)...dang!
