The kind of person that would jump on that deal is the same type that buys the $10 bundles from Big Box Orange. I'll bet they'd be tickled pink from such a smoking deal on a "large" quantity of firewood :picard:

o_O $150 for a cord of locust! Hey Jason, lets go halves and buy him out. Wonder how much he has? Bulk discount?  For that price BL must be rather common in your area.

I may have a new victim to bring over to the dark side of hoarding. Last weekend our new late 20s neighbors were having a fire and I stopped by. Saw they had bundles of store bought and were on a bed of kinda coals trying to conserve. Said I'd be right back. Brought both halves of a spruce round maybe close to 20" diameter and 16" long and threw on. He said thank you you just put more wood on than I bought. Had a talk about my stacks and hoarding life and he is very interested in going out with me and learning the art of wood hoarding. Then he said what he paid for the bundles of pine that went up like paper. Quick figures put him paying roughly $450 a cord for pine. Once I recovered from the shock, I told him for the price he is paying he could have a nice homeowner grade saw and a maul and get all the wood he could burn in his pit for the price of 1 cord. He asked me to please bring him along and get him started.

I’m seeing prices all over the place, but defineltly going up.. I sell very little wood, but am getting half a face cord or 1/6 th of a cord for $75.00 which I thought was middle of the road for seasoned oak.

That doesn't seem completely out of reason. In the right market, that could be a good deal. I'm cheaper but market the same way.

I would buy every stick of locust he had and triple my money. That's a great deal!

Some of these prices are really unbelievable! Prices seem to be going up around here but nowhere near what was posted above.

If I was in the business of selling, instead of hoarding, I would hold all of my inventory until September or October this year. With everything going on in the world right now, I look for firewood to be worth a fortune over the next several years.
