Last night I had a really odd dream. I dreamed I was walking, and half running, pulling our 27' travel trailer behind me, attached to me. I entered a merge lane with construction barriers on all sides of my road and the road I was merging onto. There was a car I had to yield to, it was going slow and it annoyed me because I had to slow down, of course with the trailer behind me. I got into the lane, and the next thing I knew I was on a conveyor belt, and I was going the opposite way the belt was moving, I had to walk twice as fast to get ahead. Then the conveyor belt narrowed down to about 6 inches wide, with steep drop offs on both sides, I had to drastically narrow my feet together, and keep my focus up ahead. Up ahead the conveyor belt widened, and I saw a tennis ball stuck at the end of it, spinning around... I woke up.. A funny thing, a neighbor gave me 4 tennis balls yesterday. He has a few 5 gallon buckets of tennis balls, he used to live by a tennis court and picked up the balls they didn't want to go after. They say dreams mean something, what the heck!
I had a dream last night where someone had a campfire going in the living room. I have been on FHC too much, lol!
I had a dream i woke up too early and wanted to go back to sleep. But i had to get up and go potty first. I have this dream every morning.
I very seldom dream anymore...or at least don't remember doing so. Occasionally I'll have a vague recollection of something, but even that is usually gone soon after waking up. I used to have a reoccurring one where I was crawling around up in the rafters of my dads newly built pole barn (newly built when I was a kid) and then slip and fall...with the typical wake up suddenly right before hitting the ground. Haven't had that one in a long time (that I recall)
It's amazing how often this happens, just wake up still in bed, thinking about what you just dreamed, by the time I'm working on coffee I can't remember it.
A wise ole man told me if you want to remember a dream write it down right away before you even get out of bed (if possible)
There are a few folks at our church that are rather good at interpreting dreams. I've had a few dreams that I knew were significant. I asked any one of a few folks, some who typically hear from God, others whom He guided me toward, they having the interpretation. Every dream may not be from God, but He can speak through every dream. I learned to skip all the fancy typical symbolism, and go for what items/colors/relationships meant to me or the other person. Kinda a neat way of communicating....when the body and intellect are at rest, but the spirit very much awake. Sca
That's a really great way to look at it. There's a couple great quotes in there. "Every dream may not be from God, but He can speak through every dream." and "Kinda a neat way of communicating....when the body and intellect are at rest, but the spirit very much awake." I thought about that dream, some dreams just seem to stand out, like there's much more to it. The 2 things I'm thinking, we're planning a winter trip next year to Yuma Arizona, but obviously the price of gas is a concern. Maybe that's why I'm pulling the trailer? The other is the tennis ball, what an odd thing to have at the end of the dream, just spinning there, like maybe I'm supposed to be more involved with my neighbor!? Hard to say, but I agree that god has a hand in everything, and some of his message can be cryptic.
So then what would He be indicating about the trip? What is His concern or direction about it? I thought too about the connection between you and the neighbor....but: Were there 4 significant things that someone brought to your attention, in some area of your life....one which you felt good about or comfortable with, now other three should be checked out, addressed...like the 1 points to the remaining 3. Or, the 1 is a to stir you to check out the 4 previously ignored or brushed aside? The correct interpretation will stir and resonate deep within. You'll know it.
I remember once when I was having problems sleeping and was advised to take melatonin. Wrong!!! I didn't know but soon found out that can cause nightmares. One day I was at a neighbor's and the subject came up and I told them of my experience. Wow! His wife jumped up all excited and told her husband there had to be his problem. Seems he'd suffered for a long time with this but even his doctor couldn't find out why. He then stopped taking the stuff and the nightmares stopped.
I take Ambien, sleeplessness runs in my family on my moms side. I have cousins that have insomnia. I've figured out the smallest amount of Ambien I can take, I cut 10 MG pills into thirds. I don't like it, but it's better than not sleeping. Does it have an affect on having dreams? I don't know.
I jumped sideways out of the bed once to get away from a snake in my dreams, the wife said I landed almost out in the hallway. Funny thing is I'm not afraid of snakes.
I think I'm probably not the only one here who dreams of flying. Not in a plane but just with your body. And when I do dream of flying a plane, I'm always having to dodge power lines.
