Outstanding progress! Looks like you really take your time stacking. Splits are all tucked in for their 2+ year nap, lol.

Thanks, probably gonna put the 2 fans on it and speed the process. The logs have been cut for awhile and the bark off, definitely harder cutting than when green.

Got this stack split and stacked first this morning. 0322220900.jpg
Added a little more to the stack from yesterday, then started next row. 0324221306.jpg
Had time to get 7 more logs bucked and staged for tomorrow morning 0324221305.jpg
We have 8 long hickory logs left to process. 0324221307.jpg
We have a few short hickory logs to do as well... 0324221307a.jpg

Man... you have me chomping at the bit to get at it! It's full blown mud season right now so I'm a little bit away from being able to attack, lol. Great set-up as usual. Always like seeing the pics.

Thanks, my friend. We have had a fairly dry early spring so far. We jave a few soft spots, I just put bark and saw chips in those. Couple years ago, we had over 12" rain in Feb, we had mud season then...lol...springs were running out of the ground, mom's basement got about 6" of water in it...
This was the short drive from her house, thru the woodyard to our house...

So, Friday morning after work, we started splitting the rounds on the ramps. Got a call from 1 of the campgrounds, needed a load. We pulled some splits and bigger limb wood from the next shed and added some of the hickory we had left to split.
    I forgot to :ithappened:of that load...:headbang:...
We got back and :stacker: what we had split that morning. Finished the
tall row, started the next row 0326221929a.jpg
    Had these rounds left... 0326221929.jpg
Saturday evening after work, I let the Husky 55 play again, it is a little quieter than the ported saws...:saw:... 0326222049.jpg
The big log was about 20", all the little Husky wanted... 0326222047.jpg
Got the last 8 logs bucked and staged
    0326222048.jpg
Monday evening after work, my hunny wanted to run the splitter, she split all the smaller rounds and I did the stacking, over 8' tall... 0328222141_HDR.jpg
Got 14 bigger rounds to do tonight. 0328222142.jpg
Got a call from a restaurant today, needs a load of 1/2 oak/hickory. Got some DRY oak and will use some of this hickory.

We looked at a TREES job Sunday afternoon. Guy has a nice house, said he likes grass way more than leaves. Wants the front all cut except for maybe 3 or 4 oaks and a few small dogwoods.
Mostly oak with a few pines, hickory and small sweet gum mixed in. All we have to do with the brush is pile it in burn piles. Getting paid and getting the wood...:dex::dex:...
Then he wants the side and back yards done the same...
I'm guessing at least 10 or 15 trailer loads....
I'll probably post all that in a new thread...maybe...

Got the restaurant load done last night, finished @10:45...
Has enough DRY oak to make the first row, then used most of the big rounds to make 1 1/2 rows of hickory, added 1/2 row of greener oak, which he said he wanted. 0330220908.jpg
Some of the sapwood was spalted/lightweight, it went into the campwood pile to be delivered later this week. Heartwood went on truck and a little in the shed. Only have the short hickory logs left to process now.

I know you like them bigger ones too. You have a perfect set up and tractor for them. I see big logs and my back cringes, but they fill a PU or trailer real fast though. Hoard on my friend.

Found a few short pieces of the barkfree hickory in a pile of oak. Got that bucked and split Monday evening 0404222046b_HDR.jpg 0405221128.jpg
Stacked it Tuesday before the storms rolled through 0405221145.jpg
Wednesday morning, before the storms came again, we got all the hickory from this score bucked. 0406220951.jpg
Also had 5 short big hickory logs from a different score bucked too. 0406221230.jpg
All the hickory on the woodyard has now been bucked.
