Rain here too. The yard will probably need mowed by the weekend if it dries out enough.

Rain here too until Friday afternoon. We’ve had about one day of full sunshine a week for the past month. Clouds, fog and rain is getting to be a pain.

That's a little late for us, actually. I've mowed in March before....all they way up until the end of November sometimes.

No way would I eat a raw scallop. I know they can be, and might be considered a delicacy for same day caught. One thing I learned from my travels here and other countries was to never eat raw animals. I won't make any comparison to what I think about raw seafood. For those who do and survive it, Bon Appetit!

My Papa born 1905 always used to grab a piece of raw ground beef when Nana cooked it, eat it and smack his lips indelight. Interesting, huh?

My father-in-law used to eat fresh ground beef with a bit of salt and pepper on it and would sneak a piece of it to my wife when she was little. MIL didn't like that her daughter was being taught bad habits:thumbs::thumbs:

I used to eat raw ground beef as a kid. Mix it with a chopped red onion and Mmm. Haven’t had it since the E. coli warnings in the 70s. High School Football teams would eat it and it was called Tiger Meat.

Most seafood is actually safe. Scallops, oysters, most fish, are safe. Supposedly clams are but if you ever shucked a raw one you wouldn’t want to try it. Same with mussels and quahog. Lobster is a must be cooked and I think crabs.

Raw burger is bad for you. Especially if it’s sat in the counter overnight.

You know it, Papa did the same for me, except no salt or pepper.
That sounds good! That makes sense, this in the 70's.

I was used to meat almost every meal, it wasn't til I was older my Dad said most meals did not have meat, so makes sense it was a treat for Papa. He said for years they ate popcorn in a bowl of milk every Friday night for dinner.

In Wisconsin we call those cannibal sandwiches.

I'll pass on that. No thank you! Best way to get all sorts of nasty bacteria in you, food poisoning etc.

I love sushi, and will eat other raw foods, but not ground beef. Hard pass.
