I've got pics of stringy ash. Nothing like that crazy pic though Jason posted though. I had one round of ash that got stuck on the wedge of the Didier, which usually just shears the Ash. That was with the old tired Briggs 5hp and not the predator, which really gave it an infusion of power. Maybe those pics are on my old motoX phone? I'll just leave this hanging here. Not all ash is easy splittin ]
Interesting article, WW. I learned that I can't wait too long to split the elm or else it will be even worse than it is now. "What I have found is that elm continues to harden and the interlocking becomes worse as it dries. I prefer to split the logs when the bark has come off, but before the tree is completely dry."
He didn’t wait long enough, as evidenced in his last pics. Give it another year and it will split fine
