Thought this was a pretty cool pic. Season ends for me on the 31st. Still have a few good bucks on cam. Hoping to make it happen before then. If you look closely in the back left corner you can see my ladder stand. I have a hang on stand about 8ft above that. The empty ladder stand fools them sometimes and they think I'm not there.
Late season bow buck down! The buck on the left in the picture above came in tonight and never left. He ran 20yds. Best part about the whole night was getting my kids to help "track" him. We got to a nice pile of blood and my daughter said "dad that's a lot of blood! He's got to be close! " . Then she turned and saw him and yelled "there he is!"
Picked up another blind today. Will build the steel stand and stairs, and raise it in a few weeks. They are just super comfy for hunting the field edges in the evenings. Im still hardcore in the timber, 20’ up in a tree.
Me either haha. I don't actually shed hunt but I do spend alot of time scouting after the season. I think I've maybe found 2-3 sheds in all my years in the woods.
It's good seeing kids being involved. My great granddaughter was 11 when she got her first buck with a rifle, she's 15 now and has also gotten one with a bow.
