Someone near me is selling a kinetic splitter with a cracked flywheel. Its very cheap but how hard is it to find and replace a flywheel? No brand or model is given in the ad or associated pictures. Just curious if it would be worth the effort.
Parts should be readily available for a Super Split. If it is some kind of home brewed contraption, it would be a hard pass for me. I'd ask for details before making a drive with cash in hand.
Well, seeing's how this model appears to be NLA, and the flywheels aren't even listed in the parts list...probably pretty hard. Might be able to repair the crack (break) but chances are slim it'll hold long term (IMO) especially being the "driven" flywheel. I don't think I'm even going to pass this along to the person who's shopping for one...probably just turn into another project for me to fix anyways
