First picture, first tree to the left of the fattest tree, at the stump.

This cavity looks about 2 to 3 times bigger than it did about a year ago.

    (sorry for the crappy pic)

it’s leaning toward the field, which is westerly.

I’ll go first. DATE and discovered time

Depends. Are you topping of the saw fluids now or on the 12th?

Tempted as I am, the wall at the bottom is too dangerously thin for this guy to be safely predictable.

But with 9 FHCoin of crypto at stake, I make re think that.
    Forgot to mention that earlier.

Yea, I'd probably let it fall too rather than risk any future cutting ability!

Well.... it looks like it still has newish branches up top and that it leafed out last year.

So, my guess will be 4/15/23 18:30hrs. A good wind storm will do it.

My experience with that, is sugar maple, 5 years plus if you don’t encourage it. The side Closest to the field that is feeding the tree is incredibly strong.

plus it’s weight is all toward field where the sun is

I see a nice big tree to use as a shield. I'd probably try and fell it.
    My guess will be 7/14/22.

Get the farmer out there with his big tractor and hook a strap or chain to it and pull it over when you want.

It has wind protection from the other trees on the cavity side, so it may outlive you, or it could fall next weekend to prove me wrong.

Yours too, it doesn't help that there is about 15 apple trees on the property.
