Took Friday and tomorrow off work to split wood. Did a little Friday: A lot yesterday (my son helped): And a little today (started @2p due to sprinkles): My hands are pretty sore but I use Voltaren which helps. One more day… then I’ll have room to bring more wood home.
Man oh man, taking days off of work so you can… WORK hard at home I can definitely relate Fantastic job turning all that dead chestnut oak into beautifully stacked firewood.
Outstanding progress. I’d be proud of accomplishing that much splitting and stacking in a long weekend.
Sweet. I turned one piece around on the left end, showing bark. That was a test to see if it triggered ocd. I wasn't too picky stacking. No way I can get away with calling out. I'm in the Gaithersburg MD shop tuesday and wednesday and it's crazy busy. I don't think my body could handle 5 days straight.
Really nice stacks.. lots of hard work I’m sure, my back hurts a little looking at the pics.lol Must feel good though?
Today I really focused on making square splits because I needed them for cribbing. I threw those in the back and everything else up front. Total of 5 trailer loads.
I do the same. Making square and or rectangular pieces for cribbing. Nice work! How long do you cut your splits to? They look to me 20" long give or take.
They are 21-24". I was measuring 24" for a good while then realized how dang heavy they were. Then I got the Mingo Marker and put a second ramp on the 14" wheel, so I've settled on 21". Stove can take 25".
Man that does look good. Im good for a couple hours a day behind the isocore, and at that spaced out throughout the day. What a difference having another set of hands makes though!! Sca
Nice work Jason! I'll bet you are sore. Me too but I can't do as much as you. Voltaren definitely helps and I use a lot. Something else that is really good and I find it even works better sometimes is Penetrex. You might want to give that a try.
I’ll definitely look into it, thanks. Back at it today. Weather is absolutely beautiful. I’m moving much slower. 2 trailer loads in and it’s lunch time.
