campinspecter had air bags put on the Tacoma so from the outside you would never know it is loaded that way. In the picture of the truck and woodsplitter on the highway, you can see it is pretty well level. Helps when towing the RV as well.

the last two loads are heavier than the alder he got last week.

There are some things in a marriage you don't mess with. I will use the electric saws for small things but the gas ones are beyond me. Besides campinspecter enjoys the cutting and I enjoy taking pictures.

Good thing i didnt watch it. Using a saw for as long as we have it can be very easy to get LAX when cutting. Sometimes we all need reminders.

Thanks Woodwidow and campinspecter , great pics and vids. I always enjoy them. We're enjoying some typical Michigan Spring weather. 40's and rain is pretty much the extended forecast for us. Won't be much firewood making here till the mud dries up. Please send the sunshine.

Our sunshine disappeared today into showers of rain and hail. It was an inside day catching up on chores. Clear dry days have been few and far between this March.

I saw that and know a few guys who do it. Not a good habit though.

I agree. Judy once asked me to get her a small saw, but I know the only reason she wanted one was to take some load off me because of the pain it causes. So then she started begging me to get a really small lightweight saw to use for limbing and/or small stuff. i finally did and she was happy. As for her running a saw. NO!

I was kinda thinking you would be running an 075 with a 36" , 404 full skip chisel ground chisel bit chain.. But it looks like the 562 does a good job !
I'm surprised they left that one in the cull deck.
Great job. I miss burning western hemlock.
Really like your tower and splitter. !!!

T.Jeff Veal and Woodwidow, last year there was a campground the Corps wanted a couple hundred trees cleared out for improvements. People were coming and going, I saw a few women helping the guys out, and I really enjoyed seeing them being involved. I really wish my wife would, but such is life, glad to see the ladies involved here.

I really enjoy and appreciate woodwidow when she comes along its fun to have company, also her loading the truck takes about an hour off the time it takes me to do a load by myself . The video she did showed me a bad habit bucking that needed to be corrected !

It's not fun when you're enjoying something like that video, and all of a sudden it hits you, you're watching yourself doing something wrong. Kind of a  moment.. It happens to all of us, especially the older we get, as a good habit slowly morphs into a bad one. Better to find out like that, than in a split second that something bad can happen. That looks like some great wood, definitely nothing we have around here.

I know exactly what you mean. I saw myself in a video taken awhile back and saw something I was doing wrong also.

Apparently, I'm eating too much. :picard:
