They have spent less than 10 hrs playing video games in there entire life? They have spent less than 10 hrs in a casino in there entire life? Curiosity only here. Feel free to comment.
I've probably spent 100 hours total on video games growing up and 50 hours inside casinos as a young adult. In the past 15 years I have neither gone into a casino (besides for a comedy show) nor fiddled around with video games. The FHC monkey on my back is real though
me.........I have always hated video games. I also don't gamble. When we went to Vegas about 10 years ago I was given some pennies to play the penny slots in the MGM Grand (where we stayed)....or maybe it was nickels. I don't recall. All I know is I refused to use my own money and my GF was tired of hearing how bored I was so she gave me some small amount. Whatever it was I ended up doubling it and cashed out. LOL It was under a buck I know that.
Does the Atari of the 70-early 80s count, if not ME. Never been in a casino nor do I have any desire. Could care less about video games also. I have better more productive ways to waste my free time.
I can say I have spent no more than 2 hours in a casino, more like an hour or less. Video games on the other hand was a time sink I have wasted many hours on. Being single and nights it's something to do at times..
I probably can on video games (like tree killer , Atari in the 80's but really wasn't into it), arcade games at the roller skating rink all combined. Casinos I can hands down say no, not 10 hours, I went to Black Hawk on my 21st birthday, that would have been like 3 hours total during that busy day. The last decade with health changes and getting DSL in ~2008, internet time sky rocketed. Also tv time since March 2020 too. It's stupid living where the weather is too nasty to go outside a lot of the time.
Never been in a casino and have no desire to lose money. I have spent a few hours playing Doom and Collin McRae rally.
Been in a casino one time the eat the buffet and it wasn't that great. Have spent very little time on computer games. I never really cared for them that much and Dad and Mom always felt there was something better that us kids could be doing like farm chores or helping out in the garden. Well I have to say I am guilty of time on the video games. We did have Atari when I was young , then Nintendo and Atari and when my son was younger Play Station was just coming around. I never really took to them and not one to sit and play for hours , not to mention I am not too good at either. Casino , yes guilty. Been to concerts and did my time in them when we went to Vegas a couple years ago but I don't gamble so I would just walk around and people watch. When I walk outside after being in one it sounds silent compared to all the electronic bell like noises. Like walking outside after a Megadeath concert in the front row. I just don't see the draw but that's just me. Either working in the shop or outside is where I belong.
Never played a video game in my life except for the arcade games like pac man, Galactica and such. Never been inside of a casino. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
Lots of interesting replies. Never been a gamer. Not a casino chaser. Cant say I've ever truly dealt a hand of cards (no clue)! I have dined a couple times at a casino buffet for breakfast years ago while travelling. Dropped a fiver in a machine and boogied. I did get to play a buddies Atari once when they came out. Believe the game was called Pong? If I recall I dropped a few quarters in a game called Defender as a youngster. Strange how the world has changed. No farcebook for me either. Odd man out I suppose
I had friends who had Atari when I was in grade school. Never liked playing it. I can only remember one time I played it for any amount of time. One of my friends had a sleep-over at my house. He brought his Atari and we played it some instead of sleeping. Had friends who had Nintendo too later on....hated that as well. I remember going over to a friends house on the other side of town to ride moto-x bikes. I just remember sitting downstairs for what seemed like eternity waiting for them to get done playing their stupid Nintendo so we could go ride. Then the arcade at the mall....again, friends wanted to go play games. I just wanted to walk around the mall and look at all the chicks. LOL I HATED the arcade.
My favorite was Galaga, I just don't remember pack-man and frogger like I hear about. Idk, guess I was too busy roller skating. Oh, and pinball machines were fun to me.
Not me.. I'm actually still a fan of video games. My mother was actually quite a gamer herself, would frustrate us as teens when she'd go for long runs on Space Invaders (Atari 2600) and we had a designated bedtime. I spent many hours gaming and talking with my mother.. some of the best times in my life. We also spent numerous hours playing Tiger Woods golf on the Xbox360.. She could kick butt there as well. Miss her much. I try not to gamble much, can't afford the habit. But I do enjoy it and have spent several hours in casinos while on TDY (temporary duty) in Las Vegas. I enjoy cheap blackjack tables, and low dollar buy-in poker games. Used to play chess with my dad, it was more his thing, but even he found himself liking a couple computer games later in life. Kinda long winded.. Oops
Mine is playing gin rummy with my Dad. You just spurred my memory, I was addicted to solitaire (deck of cards) for a couple years, then I was introduced to Freecell. Ummm, I likely had more than 10 hours on Freecell.
Never much into gin rummy myself. But I did join a Euchre league at the Legion with mom. She had a very competitive spirit. One of her favorite card games was Canasta.. I completely suck at that game.
