You ain't just whistling Dixie with the rain. Since my knee healed I have only been able to make one run because of soft ground. I am way ahead so not worried either but I sure would like some saw time.
On behalf of everyone north of the Mason-Dixon Line, I’d like to personally thank you for doing that. Now that you’ve put all that effort in, we’ll all be enjoying temperatures well into the 60s and low 70s in short order
Down into the teens now. Highest I saw outside today was +42. Few little sticks of fkws in the stove. Closed down . And it's quite warm in here. Winds calm.
March is definitely going out like a lion, with a chilly 20° this morning. Black cherry is knocking back the cold again.
It was nice not having to wake up and head straight to the stove and not having to stay up to pack the stove before going to bed and not having to stop what I’m doing to go feed a stove Reclaiming my time on Wednesday. 35 The house was warm when I left
-5 right now. Yeah, that's on the bottom side of zero! Consolation is, not snowing and no wind.........so far! And get this-calling for a foot of snow by Thu. 99 lbs is beginning to get mad....
I could work with that. It was 24 above when I was just outside. I have to get an early start this week on the woods so I can hopefully get out to the mainline loaded before I make ruts in the mud.
Oh ya , if you've ever been charged by one you know it right up there with being charged by a brown bear. This winter around 40 moose have been shot in this area in defense of life. It's really sad. Just a really bad winter. We are all hoping things improve with the coming spring and summer. Winds calm. I put 4 more small rounds of fire killed white spruce in the stove. Let it get going from the overnight coals , then closed the stove down.
