Got a little bling for the dolkita

I haven't looked around much but the bar I'm looking at is the cheapest there.

 

How's that 241 treating you? Have you run it much? If one comes up reasonable ill grab it. Seldom offered for sale though IME.

 

I have 4-5 tanks through it so far. Hopefully I can get a few more before it gets Xtra sausage stuffed in it. If I were to say the blasphemous statement, "this saw doesn't need porting", it could be said of this one. Muff mod and have at it. But, I've been to the dark side and have already ran a ported 241 a couple times so it will get the full treatment. It and my XS ported 2511 P are my two favorite saws.

 

I have a pretty stout Makita dcs401 Kevin ported as well and a Stump shot ported Makita 3601 that doesn't know its only 36cc. I'm sorta ruined on stock saws now.

 

Is that the "tiny" Echo top handle? Ive thought about getting one, already have a 194 & 201. Love cutting with my TH's. Ran the 201 today.

Its the rear handle version. I sold my ported top handle after buying the rear handle.

 

Chicken. Lol. I'll have one or two ported saw at Denny's GTG. You can play with them.
I have a new MS201 C that hasn't been touched yet. Few heat cycles and a few test cuts. Then the 241 showed up and I haven't touched it since. It was going to be ported but not sure I'll keep it now.

 

I have a RH 201 as well. Same weight as TH 2511?

Sweet looking little saw. Is the top and rear handle version weight the same? Ported it must kick azz!

Its a tad lighter. Still just over 5. Brad Barcroft has my top handle.

 

Is the porting fee about the same across the board regardless of saw size?

 

Ok....got the numbers off a bit.

2511 P is 5.7 pounds dry sans bar and chain.

2511T is 5.2 pounds dry sans bar and chain

 

I can only speak of the two Kevin has done for me and they both were the same cost. One 39cc one 25cc.

I held a top handle at my OPE dealer. Amazing little saw.
