Good Morning my Friends! 40's here now, but predicted to drop to the teens with snow by tomorrow. Started the fire at 0600 today with ash and have now transitioned to red oak. Hope everyone has a great day.
15 overnight. 17/65 now. Fresh blanket of snow. Man, I'm going to miss that when it's gone! ( not! ) At least the snow is not the heavy wet cement type that we got the last couple of times.
34/73 just loaded some cherry on some lunch time spruce remains. January temps coming in the next couple days
16/70 feeding the stove a steady diet of red oak and red maple. Currently 4 with the windchill I thought this bs was over.
Not as cold as expected. 24. Red oak and ash in stove. Might have to put another log in as it is down to 77 in here.
27/70 not expected to get much warmer out today. Just loaded a mix, ash, cherry, maple. Grass is covered with snow.
Nothing bad right here. The one before that was bad though. Some in the area were out of power for awhile-a day or so. In my opinion, the heavy wet sticky snow was more of a problem than the bit of ice. I think the eastern end of the U.P. didn't fare as well though.
6/67. Tonight we'll be dipping to the south side of the zero mark. Winds started early yesterday morning and continued through the night until finally dying down just before dawn. Fierce!
