Two Connecticut Hoarders and one Black Locust Score.

Free firewood...my two favorite words in the whole wide world! My score in East Haven a couple weeks ago had me go right by that house where the BL score from CL/FB you got me into a year ago. Easiest BL ive ever cut.

 

I worked an Oak score yesterday that the landowner kinda wants gone, ive been putting it off a little. I have cutting to do, some splitting/noodling, and another good load to take.
Then, the neighbor there had a quick maple score....they want a couple small trees gone, in return for services we need. That wont take long....couple hours.
At the big score, before the boy left, we cut and piled a cord or more, some maple, mostly oak. Its amazing what synergy comes from 2 people working together does!

just went by yesterday. It’s still there waiting for ya. Some uncut but down on the entrance ramp too. Across the street, and some yard trees in the neighborhood. Scratch Scratch

 

Well over 45 minutes one way for me so out of the question for now. How far for you Joe? Maybe if i had an "excuse" to be in the area???

 

Still havent replaced the winch.

Did give my splitter a haircut today tho

So you mean to tell me if " Stihl" made a trimmer for hair you wouldn't own one.
I bet you would? Your head would look like a cue-ball and you would have to wear a hat to prevent sunburn not to keep the hair out of your eyes.

 

Phew, I can smell that cutoff wheel and grinding grit from here

 

Gotta say, went to Harbor Freight and found 7” x 1/16” metal cutting wheels. Usually they’re about an 1/8” thick. They zipped through that metal better than I expected. Without exploding in my groin.
Some of the mess is burnt wood. Had a few 1x’s clamped on for a guide. Saw no good reason to take them off once I got started
