A stack of ash I've been hammering down on. It'll all get moved once I've been able to do some rack maintenance. Ignore thread name. Ash from Red maple
seismic activity? Found a double row stack of white oak rounds toppled today as well! At least it wasnt a stack of splits.
Yeah, I stacked some rounds a little too high, so they tipped over. I restacked them today, but made them into two stacks. [sidenote: to make another rack, I went to Home Depot and bought 3 cinder blocks, two 8’ pressure treated 2x4s and two regular 8’ 2x4s. Price for those items:$48+. A year ago, that would’ve costed <$30]
We are still very much dealing with snow stacks and winter weather up north. As of yesterday the pile in the foreground is still completely buried. More shoveling required to get at some wood for our fire. Enjoying what we do here.
what I see says we got 7.5”. Others are claiming we got 14-15” this week of 1/6/23 Before after less obstructed Didn’t do much for bucking this week.
It was wet in CT Friday morning, snow cover on grass in Sturbridge MA, then wet snow all day Northeast from there. Just heard a 5 day wx report, next chance of precip next week: rain. Bummed.
First pic is of over 10 cord split and covered. 2nd pic is the red oak that is cut but not split. No covering on the oak, either.
