Im sure most of you are familiar with Jeff Foxworthy and his "you might be a redneck if" jokes, humor etc. I thought this would be a funny thread but related to hoarding firewood, chain saws etc. Ive occasionally said these in my responses. Ill get it started today. You might be a wood hoarder if...you go to the compost center on "opening day" to scrounge for wood. Stopped there today as its been closed for two months and opened only three days a week until April. Had to go to recycling center next door anyhow. It was wet, messy and i needed a bigger saw (had 261 with me) as i got the okay to use a saw. He told me to come back on Monday as rain forecasted Saturday. I will.
You might be a wood hoarder, if …….. you nearly put the cement mixer truck you’re driving in the ditch on a county road because you are eyeing a shelter belt full of standing dead elm, and trying to figure out a way to get into it to with enough equipment to make it worthwhile. Happened just yesterday
If you’ve been able to make 1 post per every waking hour for 3 years on FHC, you’re definitely a documenting howdah. Hoard on!

Ive almost done that...more than once. It was probably black locust and i wasnt driving a cement truck either!
You might be a wood hoarder if your yard is full and your trailer is full and your truck is full and you can’t possibly take any more wood and you’re still checking CL and FB and slowing down when you see a roadside opportunity. You might be a wood hoarder if you’re on your first “date” in years with your significant other and as you’re reflecting on your relationship highs and lows she politely and reasonably asks you to stop talking about wood.
