Been driving by this since it was cut last Spring. Been on my radar. Stopped last week, asked and got the okay to cut and take. Not much but a quick buck and load. Back right up to it. Some bark was loose with bug activity under it but wood was solid yet. IMG_0689.JPG IMG_0690.JPG IMG_0691.JPG Wish i had a few more like this.

I sold two half cords of hickory this Winter for $175 & 190. Friend of mine will get 2/3 of a cord and get a discount. I dont get a lot of it. Maybe three cords on hand. I give it at least 18 months to dry and preferably two Summers. Ill try to get $300 next year for a full cord.
    Any hickory up your way?

I'd say 300 a full cord of hickory is a bargain, at least if I was a buyer of that.

That’s a bargain around here. Ash, Hackberry, Maple and more sell all day long for that price! Would love to have that wood :woodsign:

I'm sure there's hickory up this way, just not on our property.

They're getting $275-$290 a cord for fresh cut cordwood right now. This is mixed oak-maple-beech-etc. No hickory. And I expect it to go higher the way inflation is going.
