Trust me when I say you haven’t even come close to trying all the styles out there. My guess is you’ve tried many brands, not many styles. Also those, expensive four packs can pack a lotta punch, 3-4x your bud light
Buy real beer in Canada, kinda right next door. Even that coors light water a 6 pack will sit you flat on your azz. Labatts blue or molson are not bad and is stronger. Still no interest in trying anymore of those microbrews, ever no matter what anyone says. I’ve tried enough to not want to try another.
Well, predictions are easy to make. Everyone told me to hold off on building a garage when the price went up 30% last summer. Told me prices would be better this year. Well I got ahold of the company in January and they said that they would honor the summer price since materials had gone down some but wages for help have gone thru the roof. I said okay, send me a contract. Then everything started happening with the inflation really hitting, gasoline becoming a train wreck, and world going ons. They have yet to send me a contract, because they know at this point they just can't do it. Also, the housing market is so far behind what we need for workers here in NH, that it really doesn't matter the price of building - they will be busy. We have less than 1% vacancy rate (0.6% according to this recent article). Sure, when interest rates rise, new home builds will drop off a bit but it's not like there is huge activity in that area (at about 1/2 of what it was in 2003). Also, if people can't afford a new/new-to-them house as the prices have rapidly increased, then they will expand the house they have to accommodate kids, elderly parents, WFH accommodations etc.
My ex and I bought a shell of a brand new house (contractor ran with the money after putting that much in to make it look good). It was wired for electric heat and we tore that out and put in a boiler. The well had been dug, but had noi pump, connections or delivery system in the house. We had to fix the leachfield as it had washed away. Also lifted the house and put in a block foundation in the back as the concrete had already cracked and bowed. We installed a bathtub, toilet and bathroom sink and then moved in. The bathroom was the most finished part of the house as it had walls and a door (but no finished flooring). We cooked everything by either microwave or hibachi. Dishes were done in the bathtub.
Maybe time to rethink where you can move too. I've actually seen some prices dropping here and prices in NE are crazy.
I was legal to drink at 18. I consider that as a kid now! I didn't back then. I've also said that; If you can take a bullet for your Country, you should be able to have a Beer/drink. Poor Kids can't even drink till they're 21. Sorry, I don't think thats right in my opinion.
Let’s agree on this putting things in perspective. If you eat 10 dog turds from 10 dog breeds and thought they all tasted like chit would you try 10 more? I know that I would not.
True enough and you get what you pay for But I’ve seen Dave’s house plans. Dave said the cost to build is over four. Land and improvement separate. I would consider his plan a mid level house; not to starter a home but certainly not a luxury build! Less than 5% of all new construction is SFD starter homes. Most home buyers are not cash only. Most first time homebuyers have a hard time meeting the numeric calculations for standard financing. Any home over 435,000 is required to have a jumbo mortgage. So if supply is fixed by limited resources and demand increases than price goes up. Only Other option is the government change the rules, they tried that housing and it led to the 2008 mortgage collapse. I consider a bunch of hoarders friends including Dave and Bogie AND I HOPE I am wrong!! But hope is not a plan! If you didn’t like first prediction you will hate this one: The standard of living is going to decrease for my grandchildren The rich will get richer; a middle-class will get poorer with inflation. The poor will continue to live off and demand more from the government. back to the scheduled distraction of energy source change
I remember that argument back when it was nation wide. I also remember the draft was active. But think of this. Did anyone of those 18, 19, 20 year old individuals ever get denied being served in clubs on base?
It's not glamorous, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I've seen this MANY times around here. It gets them where they want to be and allows for building on a budget and them kicking in some "sweat equity" along the way. Then you sell it and roll it out!
Yes, I have seen it. "ESPECIALLY" in well populated areas. Here in the USCG Club on base, you can go into the club at 18 but you can't sit at the bar! You have to order from the service area and go back to a table or wait for a server.
Yup- was going to suggest the same thing! Get septic, well, & power in now, drop a single wide on the property and get the he!! out of Joisey!
