My splitter had a habit of dropping a split off the other side from me between the tables and the catch table. The splits would have enough weight on their butt to fall into the hole. I removed the tables, moved them forward one hole and only had to redrill one hole to make it all work the way it should have been working already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have a TW-P1 as well. In addition to your same problem, I have yet to figure out how to keep the table grate from sliding ouot of the beam and falling off after five minutes. I hook the safety chains on the end but it's not enough. Probably will modify mine like you did.
Yeah, I forgot about that. Mine does that to. I’ll look at that for an easy fix also. We can compare ideas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So today I started and got most of what I wanted to get done on this mod. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have that end slightly uphill if you can. Mine sagged over time with use - I bent it back with a sledge, and might need to weld a brace some day. I’ve also tightened it in there using a wood shim.
Got some more kinda done on the TWP-1 today. I built a log lift, extended the table out some, added a caster to roll it around. I used another ordinary splitter valve to operate the lift. Changed the bolts for the hitch to pins so it can be removed and catch table put on. Still need to tidy up the lines, pull it back apart, reinstall the safety chains, and paint it but split a couple of buckets with it before the tank ran dry. Though I had the crane lift (still do), I like this more because of the “table” factor when it’s up. Pretty happy with the result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oddly enough castors are the first mod I’m making on mine. There will be two, considered just one but I have two, May as well use them. Not something you see everyday LOL
