I was thinking I was the only one that does that It actually works fairly well, depending on the wood.
That's like driving around with a bald tire knowing it is going to blow and waiting to get a spare after it blows. Pull over walk to tire store and then get spare , walk back to truck and put on new tire. Out in the woods splitting ; break handle, stop work go to store and get Isocore then back to finish splitting. Just thought I would ask.
Like putting a doughnut spare on a semi-truck? And yes , headed to my new favorite store on Route 1. I'll keep you posted.
True! Uh oh, have you caved? No longer on the fence? When i went in there he had limited selection. Nice guy and had nice talk with him.
Someone at my work is good friends with the kid ( Joe ) that works there so I was able to get hooked up with a good deal , granted not as good as your recent deal but much better that what other dealers are getting. Now it might be time to unload a couple of my other saws to make room for the newer ones. Have to sit down and figure out what I want to do. Catch up with you tonight , we can talk about cutting; maybe Sunday?
That was the invisible fence , you know like the one for dogs. See what happens when you are let out without your collar on?? Whooo-hooo ; freedom.
Always good to have connections...especially when it comes to chain saws! Cant wait to see it. Id say 250 & 391 should go? You keep them clean so should get top dollar.
Yeah that might be two that could go ; When I get some time to get out there I will have to do inventory and go from there. I need to spend some time working on getting the third function hydraulics done on the tractor for the grapple before I do anything else. Just been too busy to get much done out there.
I used to bend over pick up every piece set it up on chopping block…i never do that anymore, i like to get ontop of a pile of presplit rounds with my maul or axe and swing in every direction..it goes much quicker if is the right kind of wood ofcourse (oak, locust, ash) i tried hand splitting some type of hybrid poplar had to throw in the towel and borrow my brothers splitter
Have you tried the tire trick? Put a tire on a huge round, set your round inside and swing away! Keeps it from falling over.
I have my wood cutting ear plugs hanging from the rearview mirror and wore them, safety glasses and ideally long sleeves. The porcelain can become shrapnel when struck.
Well ive been using it despite the cracked handle and it broke today. Didnt let go but caught it in time as it was wobbly. Have the cash from their check just gotta find a new one cheap.
