    Opinions needed. A guy gave me this hookaroon head. It fit really snug in a axe handle, couldn’t fit the wood wedge that came with the handle. Do you think I need to drill a pin through the head/handle or just leave it be? Or drill a screw down into the wood? 65D54DC5-16B0-416B-A9E2-0B1310128267.jpeg

    I'd cut the notch a touch bigger with a saw. Then put the wedge in with glue.

    Well, I got to try out the new Hook on a little curb score. Worked good as is, don’t think I need to do anything. Whoever made it did a nice job. Like cousin Eddie said, “She’s a beaut Clark!”.

    They sell steel wedges that are made to drive in the end. Maybe that would work. years ago I had one that I drove a couple cut nails in.
