I was out in a country village. It was about an hour to the ocean and I had family on the vineyard. I miss it. I have been thinking about moving back lately but closer to the coast. Maybe not Mass but another state. I don't know. The great part about living in that area was everything was so close. There wasn't much driving needed.
I moved from Reveah to NH 21 years ago and love it. Very different life than near Boston. Family is still in northern MA and Boston is only a 90 minute drive from here. I do miss some things but not enough to move back. There I cant have bear visiting my back yard, watch a pair of eagles hatch and raise eaglets almost every summer a mile up the road and watch a moose cross in front of my truck on the way to work...only 4 houses down the road. LOVE IT HERE !
Reev-eeeya! In the 80's that was the land of the chicks wit da big hay-aaa! Haha. My parents spent most of their teenage years at Revere Beach in the late 40's early 1950's.
Best part of being on the north east coast, ESP. New England, nothing is usually very far to drive. I don't drive much anymore, mostly just trips in town. All of 3 to 5 miles. My wife drives and seems to like it. I haven't put but about 9000 miles total on my truck in the 6 years I have owned it. My wife's car has about 30,000 in two years. That's a lot of sight seeing!
LMAO !! Both of my parents grew up on Revere Beach. My mothers' family had an Italian restaurant there. I use to go there for some of the arcades when I was young and vaguely remember the last roller coaster burning down.
That goes without saying. But always nice to hear! I wish I was at Fenway when A-Fraud came up to the plate. They were throwing syringes on the filed and screaming obscenities. Dempster intentionally hit him with a pitch and the ump did not do anything about it. He was later suspended for 5 games by the league for it. That was the best game of the year by a long shot... even though the Sox went on to lose it to the 'ding dang' Yankees.
They seem to. That and Papi losing weight and playing 1st base better than I have ever seen, as well as hitting his way to a World Series record.
I need to roam around these other forum areas. How did I miss this thread? This late night excitement with the Sox is cutting into my beauty rest. Go Sox!!
