    A well-known sign in northern New Hampshire is damaged and partially missing, along with other signs and facilities.
    Au local New Hampshire user posted about the broken sign Sunday night.
    The sign would typically let travelers on the Kancamagus Highway know they're entering or leaving the White Mountain National Forest.

    Forest officials said the sign was cut with a chain saw.

    White Mountain National Forest spokesperson Joseph Phillips said officials believe the sign was vandalized between a week and a half and two weeks ago.

    Officials said the damaged sign is not the only vandalism to occur in the forest recently.

    Phillips said damage ranged from the use of saws to cut doors on restrooms and large signs along the highway to shotgun damage to some of the interpretive educational panels and kiosk boards that provide information in parking lots.
    "This senseless destruction of existing infrastructure makes that difficult for us to be planning for our upcoming budget year and the things we want to accomplish when we're having to look back over our shoulders and replace things that already exist," Phillips said.

    The damage is estimated to be thousands of dollars, according to officials.

    WMNF is asking the public to report vandalism or anything suspicious to any of the ranger stations or local police.

    Forest officials said they hope to have all the damage repaired or replaced by the summer season.

    No ice yesterday but plenty of rain, Was predicted to get around 50 degrees and we stayed at 33-34 all day. I went to Saginaw and the was ice on trees but roads were just wet.

    Good morning everyone! Today will be a treat, highs in the 60's. It's already 57°. No fire today.
    I guess I'll bring some wood in before Friday's snow. Maybe rake some leaves, too.
    We got the appraisal for fixing my bumper, $2500. The other insurance company pays of course. Just one of those things. My husband is going away for a few days, maybe my car can be in the shop during that period. CarMunch.jpg
