Crown camp fuel?? Is that like Coleman fuel? Never heard of it. Might have to check into it. I like playing with Coleman lanterns and like to have plenty of fuel on hand

Yes. Just like Coleman but cheaper. Last time I bought it the price was $8.98 vs $11.98 for the Coleman.

I just ordered some of the same brand, my husband called it white gas (opposed to our propane lanterns and camp stoves).

That’s about 1/2 the price of the Coleman stuff I’ve seen lately

My father has nothing to do. His entertainment is going to Wally World just to see them. Amazing how not that long ago he didn’t have 5 minutes free.

I’ve been debating whether or not to say this, …. But,…. I the first time I ever laid eyes on the woman who became my wife, was in the checkout line in a Walmart. I ran into her again a couple hours later at a gas station, we started chatting, I took her out to eat, then went dancing. All in the same evening! That was 12 or 13 years ago!

We both avoid Walmart as much as possible now. Don’t want to make that mistake again

That is what it is. Long before Coleman started selling it in stores you used to have to buy it at gas ststions but not many sold it and it was expensive vs regular gas.

I've ran / raced many a 1/5 scale rc cars on camp fuel mix. The engines were stock and ran excellent on it.

Isn't the octane rating much lower in this?

Yes. 50-55. Small stock 2 strokes don't need high octane fuel. To be clear I'm not suggesting you try it in a saw. That said, I have with no issues. Ran an echo cs310 for a couple years on it.

That saw didn't care. Ran fine on it. Clean burning and smells good.

It used to be very popular, could still be, in large scale RC planes and helicopters because you can store them in the House and hall them in your van or car without the gasoline stink. I imagine with all these engineered fuels like VP racing ect that most probably don't use it anymore.

I've heard if white gas before, but not familiar with it. Will it go bad? Is it worth having around for some reason, "just in case", or is it very specific in terms of uses?

I used up a gallon we found in my dads barn when he passed. It was probably 20 years old or older. The weed eater didn't care. Ran it fine. It wasn't spoiled smelling just a hair discolored. Back when I was really big into the gasoline powered RC cars it's all I ran in them. I had 5 different models all 23-26cc.
