Morning All. Freezing this morning with sunshine predicted. We are headed over to Mom's clean the wood furnace and chimney. Do some other chores as well. Long weekend holiday today. I got some smaller sewing projects finished yesterday and started on a bigger one. So nice to get unfinished projects finished to be used again. I just am ignoring the mess on my computer desk for now. It will take a full day to clean that up.

Everyone have a great Family day today.

Good morning! Already up to 48F and sunny most of the day. Rain moving back in overnight. Last of the snow should be gone today. Got about 1/2 cord split and stacked yesterday. Tree service buddy stopped by with a little mystery wood and some spruce. I'll try to get that bucked tonight while it's still dry. Everything is under water so I can't really move wood around. It's supposed to turn cold again later this week so that should help. Have a God day!

We just rolled In from the cabin driving through a snow storm a good part of the way.

The snow depth indicator near our driveway. This means it is getting pretty deep!

Our cabin and some of our wood. It ended up snowing on and off during our stay but we didn’t go too far other than down to Lake Superior a few times to take in the lake views.

Second fire, my foot, part of my wife under her blanket with her beer and latest book. It takes about 7 hours to get if warmed up.

Wow, that takes awhile...of course, it's really cold there...
Does the rocks on top of the stove help retain/maintain the heat?

Looks like a really nice place to escape to...

Yes. The rocks on top the stove are a heat sink, as well as the rock wall behind the stove. The entire mass takes awhile to heat up, but also take awhile to cool down.

Looks like the stove is weighted enough so any big wind won't blow it away.

Yes sir, it sure did. Wish trucks were more affordable. We got a pretty good deal on it. Gave us a good bit more than we owed on her old car.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Start back on nites, tonight, somebody got to to it...lol...
Not sure what we will do this morning, need to get wood boxes inside filled up. 53° right now, rained last night. My sister texted me while we were in Augusta, mama not feeling well, had to increase her O2 and lasic, having fluid build up again.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Morning All. Below freezing this morning. Gorgeous sunshine expected. We were missed by the snow that fell on the southern part of the island. We might get some later in the week. Today I find out if I have a job posting until July. If so, I guess I will be working fulltime and not when I want to.

    Everyone have a great day.

Happy 02-22-2022! 52F and occasional rain throughout the day (which we definitely don't need). I snagged a pallet on lunch yesterday and bucked up some logs after work. Mostly I got stuff out of the water and made a little more room in the wood yard for incoming deliveries. Even had a sale at the roadside stand on a Monday. Middle school basketball out of town tonight so we'll grab something to eat after. Have a God day!
