Actually I believe 660 to be correct on this, as soon as he mentioned 'well inspector', I was transported back to life on a Nebraska cattle ranch. Where we had a similar problem with well water used for the animals. IIRC my father had to spend a bunch of money on a filtration system or drill a new well to water the animals.

The premix cans are metal so maybe there was moisture out water in them and there rusting in the can

I talked to the certified Husqvarna repair shop today when picking up new fuel line & filter, he said he has seen a couple of saws come in with tanks deteriorating(stated they had to sit for a long time).
Anyways neighbor was originally running normal mix gas and the fuel in the saw could be from the original repair shop - so no telling what was in the tank.
I did a check with the stuff from the tank originally and had some dissolve in water the remainder dissolved back into fresh mix.
His new canned mix showed no sign of separation.

After 2 days the tanks shows no sign of any orange residue but with new fuel line it is still stalling out ~1/4 throttle. Already ruled out the tank vent as well with the cap loosened
I tried to watch the main jet for fuel with the filter removed and it seems to trickle out not really pulling and atomizing into the carb throat.

I guess I may try a new carb next - hate replacing parts willy nilly

Carb kit will not fix a plugged main jet.

Basod, why not try cleaning the carb and clearing the fuel passageways with aerosol carb cleaner? Or did I miss the part where you did that already?

Definitely price that carb, may not be worth your time to really chase down the gremlins.

Already had an ultrasonic bath and sprayed & blown out the first go round.
It's not my dime - neighbor said order the carb.

On my first vacuum/pressure test the butterfly pivots leaked prodigiously (hard to vacuum test without the carb in place due to the plastic manifold) rearranged sealing plate and gasket and found the impulse pipe leaking a bit under pressure.
